At Lilacs and Lemons Farmhouse Bakery, we are committed to ensuring your order arrives in the best possible condition. Because our products are handcrafted and perishable, we take great care in preparing and packaging all shipments. Please carefully review the following terms regarding shipping and delivery:
1. Order Fulfillment & Carrier Responsibility
Orders are typically processed within the specified time listed at purchase. Once an order leaves our facility and is transferred to the chosen carrier, all risk of loss, damage, or delay becomes the responsibility of the carrier and the customer. We are not liable for:

Damaged goods caused during shipping

Delays or mishandling by the shipping provider

Lost or stolen packages

Products compromised by weather or transit conditions
All claims regarding such issues must be filed directly with the carrier selected at checkout.
2. Perishable Products & Weather Sensitivity
Many of our products are temperature-sensitive. While we take precautions to protect your order during transit, Lilacs and Lemons Farmhouse Bakery cannot guarantee the condition of any shipment once it has left our care, particularly in high-heat or extreme-weather situations.
3. Right to Cancel Orders Due to Heat or Unsafe Shipping Conditions
We reserve the right to cancel any order scheduled for shipment if weather conditions—particularly extreme heat—pose a risk to the quality, safety, or integrity of our products.

This decision is made at our sole discretion and with the intent of protecting your order from spoilage or damage.

If we cancel an order due to heat or unsafe shipping conditions, you will receive a full refund to your original form of payment.

We may offer to reschedule shipment for a future date upon request and weather permitting.
4. No Liability for Heat Damage
By placing an order for shipment, you acknowledge and accept the risk of possible heat-related damage, including melted chocolate, soft frosting, or altered texture. Lilacs and Lemons Farmhouse Bakery is not liable for product damage caused by:

Incorrect addresses

Prolonged exposure to heat

Delivery to unattended locations or mailboxes
We strongly recommend someone be available to receive the package at the time of delivery.
5. Shipping Regions
We currently ship within the United States, U.S. territories, and Canada. International shipping is available only on select items and at our discretion. We do not ship to P.O. Boxes for perishable products.
6. Customer Responsibilities
It is the customer’s responsibility to provide a complete and accurate shipping address. Orders shipped to an incorrect or incomplete address provided by the customer are not eligible for refund or reshipment.
